Apply to join the Immerse Australia Committee

While we have a number of committee members interested in re-applying for their position in 2025, we welcome new nominations, especially those who have volunteered with us before.

Nomination Process

  • 12 December 2024: Submission form opens
  • 24 January 2025: Submission deadline
  • February 2025: Committee review
  • March 2025: Successful applicants advised

Eligibility

Committee members must be

  • Over 18
  • Working or studying in Extended Reality (XR)
  • Of good standing in the industry and wider community
  • Endeavour to uphold Immerse Australia’s reputation to a high standard through their behaviour as an individual and as an organisation.
  • A current paid Immerse Australia member by the submission deadline.
  • Submitted a nomination form (below) by the submission deadline.

Requirements

The following applies to all committee positions

Committee positions are a two year term, although re-nomination in the following year is possible.

General expectations of committee members:

  • Attend one online committee meeting per month.
  • 1 to 2 hours per month on Immerse Australia activities (online or in person).
  • Attendance at Immerse Australia events throughout the year where possible.
The following applies to Ordinary Committee Member (OCM) positions
